Kiddo

Directed by

Zara Dwinger

11-year-old Lu (Rosa van Leeuwen) lives with a foster family and dreams of seeing her mother Karina (Frieda Barnhard) again after a very long absence. She seems to live like a real film star in Hollywood – she even does her own stunts. When Karina unexpectedly reappears she takes Lu – without telling her foster parents – on an adventurous road trip in her clapped out sports car. They go all the way to Poland to see Lu’s grandma and collect a stash of money that Karina hid there years ago.

Kiddo is a debut feature film by Zara Dwinger and had its world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival.
